Notes

• Printed a small set of these in PLA and PETG.
• They work by inserting a base with small pegs into the spool and then sliding ID plates on and off.
• I printed them to hep distinguish filament types and allow me to keep swapping what type of filament is on a spool, without having to peel stickers on and off.
• The initial print came off and immediately one of the PLA and one of the PETG labels had issues with the runners splitting.
• Mounting one of the PLA bases onto a spool and sliding the label on, the base immediately came off leaving behind four of the ten pegs in the spool.
• I threw them all in my disposal box. Obviously others have had a lot of success with them, but these are way too fragile for me to make use of if they are coming off the print split and breaking on first use. I’ve not had any other prints fail like this and my filaments have been dried so it isn’t that.
