Description | A customisable block that locks into place on a wire shelf to give you a level and stable platform. |
Notes
- I created this for my an AMS Riser I printed as I needed it to be level with the base board of my printer which is on an Ikea Omar shelf. I like the shelves for cable routing and air flow for some of my tech, but it wasn’t ideal for my printer (hence the base board), and to get things just right I needed some risers for my riser.
- The idea is to print as many blocks as you require rather than one single riser block.
- I recommend using some compressible anti-slip rubber matting on top of these riser blocks if you require more grip - which was the case for me once my printer begins running at speed.
- The model is OpenSCAD-based, so you can specify your own parameters to customise it to your own specifications. You can change what shelf bars it will fit to, how deep below the wires it will extend and how high it will rise above them.
