Description | A set of three rulers - Imperial, Metric, Combined |
Notes
- Printed out the combined ruler as I may need to measure in both systems.
- Appreciate it starting at zero, that is something I prefer in a ruler, and my printer is probably accurate enough to mean that edge will be accurate.
- Marks were quite thick, but that is to be expected given the printer resolution and making sure the marks are visible. Unfortunately it does add a bit of inaccuracy, though if I needed real accuracy I would use my callipers instead.
- The marks are raised, and unfortunately, over time, some of them have broken off, and it can give a rough edge if you actually attempt to use it to draw a straight edge.
- Going back through the comments I can see I’m not the only one to have encountered this.
- After several months of adequate use I’m consigning mine to the bucket o’plastic scrap, and replacing it with some steel rulers instead.
- I don’t think the model is bad, but I would not recommend anyone use a 3D printed ruler for measuring or drawing straight lines.
