Fusion 360

Fusion 360 (by AutoDesk) is the sort of tool most people might imaging when working with CAD packages. It is a very capable piece of software trusted by many designers, but with that power comes a not so small subscription price. You can use the full version for education (but cannot sell things you produce), a limited version (still very capable) for personal use (again, you cannot sell things you design in it), or pay for the full subscription (£660/year - monthly and 3 year options available). So if you want to use this for more than a hobby, you really do need to factor in the subscription costs.

If you use Tinkercad, this is probably the natural evolution in the AutoDesk line up.
